DocsGlobal Search
Find anything in the CRM with one keyboard shortcut — companies, people, deals, tickets, and more.
Opening the Search Palette
The global search palette is the fastest way to find anything in the CRM.
Open the search palette using any of these methods:
- Keyboard shortcut: Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux
- Dynamic Island: Click the search pill in the top-right floating bar
- Mobile: Tap the blue search button floating above the bottom navigation
What You Can Search
The palette searches across all entity types in your CRM, ranked by relevance.
Results are ranked by relevance using trigram similarity, with boosts for exact matches, recently viewed items, and items related to the page you are currently viewing.
Smart Prefixes
Use prefix commands to filter and narrow your search.
| Prefix | Example | Description |

Recently Viewed & Pinned Items
Access your most-used items without typing anything.
When you open the palette without typing, you see:
- Pinned items — up to 10 items you have pinned for quick access
- Recently viewed — the last 10 entities you visited
- Your open work — open tickets, upcoming deals, and overdue tasks assigned to you
- Commands — create, navigate, and toggle shortcuts
To pin an item, hover over a search result and click the pin icon. Pinned items appear at the top of the empty state and can be reordered by dragging.
Permission-Based Visibility
Search results respect your role's permissions.
The search palette only shows entities your role has permission to view:
- All scope — see all records in the organization
- Team scope — see records assigned to you or your teammates
- Own scope — see only records assigned to you
- None — the entity type is hidden from search
Commands (like "Create Company") are also filtered — if you lack the createpermission, the command is hidden from the palette.
